December Second: Day Two

Hello People
How are you doing?
Welcome to December 2nd.
The second day in our postmas or blogmas series.
Hope you liked yesterday’s post & you intend to be with me all through this journey.

Yesterday, I remembered many years ago when someone I know well got her first passport. She was so excited but to someone else, you know a passport is very normal. Just walk into the immigration office and get on with it.
An exotic car, perfect health, a house, an investment worth millions, a holiday in the Caribbean, a fantastic job... is very normal to someone. In fact, someone has them without even thinking.
Has it ever occurred to you that the very things you take for granted are very extra to someone that may even be close to you so please, be grateful always.

Luke 5:17 - 20
“On one of the days while Jesus was teaching, some proud religious law-keepers and teachers of the Law were sitting by Him. They had come from every town in the countries of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was there to heal them. Some men took a man who was not able to move his body to Jesus. He was carried on a bed. They looked for a way to take the man into the house where Jesus was. But they could not find a way to take him in because of so many people. They made a hole in the roof over where Jesus stood. Then they let the bed with the sick man on it down before Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the man, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.””
(New Life Version). Underlined for emphasis.

Have you ever read this bible passage considering the owner of the house in the passage above?
If you were the house owner, imagine that you just carried out some renovations on your house, maybe painted or changed some roofing sheets or got new furniture for Jesus to sit on or called professional cleaners in preparation for Jesus arrival only for some guys to deface your property by breaking your roof just because they really wanted their friend to be healed?

Ladies and gentlemen, what do you do when after you have prepared for it, the disruptions aren’t in your favour?
When someone else’s situations causes you discomfort but makes them better?
You told your friend about a job opening, they used your CV format and data to apply and then got the job?
You invited your friend for a wedding, drove there, and s/he meets his/her spouse there after wasting your time?
Are you jealous, sad or grumpy?
Indifferent, excited or happy?

Imagine how the people in that community would have gone round pointing at that house whose roof was removed so a man was healed in it. Imagine the popularity the home owners would have gotten too because of the action.

As you enjoy today, remember, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8: 28 (New Living Translation)

Have a wonderful weekend people
Knowing that we all benefit from each others successes.

Loads of love, hugs and kisses
Miss Onakz...

  1. I had a situation recently and I asked God to help me and take control. Before I knew what was happening, I got letters from the organizations concerned saying they had taken care of my concern. It happened so fast I could not believe it! I did my little reasearch online and for many people it took a long while. Yes let's always live in a state of gratitude for all that we've been blessed with.
