Like Yesterday!!!

It all seemed like yesterday
It was woken up to go to school
Maths seemed extremely difficult
Teachers were simply enemies
Exams were all to be passed
Friends came and went, I did not realise
Bedtimes made me sad
Birthdays were exciting
Sweets were heaven
I was the responsibility of others
Life was planned
Needs were met
The world just went round
Everyday was a cycle to be repeated
My life was on autoplay
It all seems like a dream
Over two decades have gone by
Now, I look back
It all seemed like yesterday
I thank God for the successes
The accomplishments
And the dreams
