The Power of One Sweet Affirmation

Hello People
How are you doing?
Good week so far?
Mine was nice until I experienced the island to the mainland traffic in Lagos at about mid day yesterday.
Let's just say I had dinner and went straight to just lie in bed immediately I got home.
Special shout out to everyone that is doing that trip on a daily basis particularly at peak periods. From the bottom of my heart, I feel like praying for you in Yoruba but unfortunately, my Yoruba writing skill is very wack. I will just leave you with the simple interpretation of the prayer "May God continue to renew your strength daily". Amen!

My people, just like that September has almost ended o.
It is my prayer that God's grace will see us through till the end of this year and beyond 2020 in Jesus name. Amen!
I want to make a promise to write every week till the end of the year but the careful side of me is giving me a serious warning for fear of disappointing you. Can I make 14 other posts by December 31st, 2020? Let's just keep our fingers crossed.

Usually, as we begin to get into the end of the year, I get quite introspective and sometimes worried.
How well did I do this year?
Did I achieve my goals for the year?
How can I quickly achieve the outstanding goals set for the year?
Did God answer my prayers?
On and on, the questions and answers flood in.

This year, coupled with the pandemic, I was already beginning to think of the anxiety that will happen when I begin to evaluate my year.
I hadn't even began the evaluation at all, I was already getting nervous.
Then "randomly", I read a very sweet bible verse.

She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.
Proverbs 31:25 (New Living Translation)

This verse surely gave me the calmness I truly needed.
Anxiety and disappointments aside, let quarter 4 of 2020 begin in peace!
And I intend to have fun in it.
Reading the verse again, isn't that what laughter signifies?
Irrespective of what has happened, what is happening and what will happen, I choose joy and you should choose joy too because we have the resilience and decency for it.

Have a good rest of the week ladies and gentlemen
Looking forward to communicating you next week.
Loads of love, hugs and kisses.
Miss Onakz...
