Take Your Time

Often times, we all go through a lot things that make us whine, whine and whine some more. No job, a not so fantastic job, nasty line manager, ill health, weight loss, weight gain, upsetting environment, no relationship, a failed relationship, an annoying girlfriend, a naughty boyfriend, an unstable relationship, parents that don't understand, siblings always in your face, bills to be paid, deadlines that should be met, the list just goes on and on. Very frustrating. Rather than complain and complain, please take some time out to listen.

For a few days, I decided to stop rewinding to my own issues in my head and just listen to my friends. I was really overwhelmed for them and realised I needed a lot of ears to help listen to everyone that needed to tell friends how much they had been hurt. Age, the economy, life and all, a whole lot of people have been thrown huge punches. Just when you think you are carrying the heaviest burden, the largest load, the biggest issues, you listen to your friend's and your suddenly realise you just carry an elephant's tusk compared to the living elephant your friend is carrying.

From this week on, please just take out time to listen to your friends, give some time for your sisters, talk with your brothers. The world is in need of ears, please give your time to unburden that smiling friend without thinking of your own issues. Listening, not to judge or condemn. Just listen so you know you ain't the only one going through life.

* Lovely week my darlings. Enjoy this week's task of listening.
